McKenna and Alex were both in class plays at the end of the school year. McKenna was in "Aesop's Fables", and she got to participate in the fable "Androcles and the Lion". Her line, which she said with such eloquence :), was "The lion asked Andrecles to help." For those who know McKenna, you know that speaking in front of people is not her cup of tea. We practiced speaking clearly and projecting her voice, and in the end, she did a great job!

Alex actually had a lead role in his class play titled "Character Matters." He was the "Handsome Prince", and shown above with him were his leading ladies--Rapunzel and the Wicked Witch. It was a cute play that talked about important character traits and values that we should possess. My favorite lines from the play:
Prince: "Why do I always have to be the HANDSOME prince? Why can't I be the brilliant prince, or the athletic prince, or the 'artist formerly known as prince' prince? It's frustrating!"
Rapunzel: "Well, you are quite handsome."
Prince: "Yes, that's true."
Alex really is a natural actor. He had great voice intonation and facial expressions, as well as great timing. I hope he has a desire to participate in more plays in the future!
