Bunker's Visit-New Year's 2010

Before it gets too far into the year, I need to post about our friend's visit this past New Year's. We have some really good friends, the Bunkers, who lived next door to us when we lived up North. They have become like family to us, and we make it a point to visit each other throughout the year. We always have a great time with them, even when we are just "hanging out".

It seems that whenever they come for a visit, they bring their "Northern" weather with them. After a week of close to 60 degree weather, this is what we woke up to their first morning here!

McKenna and Maya wanted to introduce Licorice, their new pet Gerbil, to Elena. Can you tell she's excited??

After a while, she warmed up to her furry new friend!

Alex and Jake spent a lot of time putting together the Millenial Falcon--Lego style! Alex said he "couldn't have done it without Jake!"

Kelly is the king of guacamole, so everytime we get together he is in charge of making a huge batch. I think we used about 10 avocados this time, and we only had a tiny bit left. Doesn't he look so excited??

This was a common scene during meal time. Brei and I had the plates all lined up, ready for the assembly line. Lots of little (and big) mouths to feed!

New Year's Eve was spent watching "Up" with the kids (fun movie, by the way), and then the adults went upstairs and played some games. Most of us made it to midnight, but we did lose a few of the kids.

On New Year's Day, we went for a hike to see some Indian petroglyphs. It was a lot of fun, and nice to get out of the house for a while.

Aside from Kyle, the littlest Bunker, falling into a cactus by our house (OUCH!) things went smoothly and we all had a great time during their visit. We hope they will want to come and stay with us again soon! We love you Bunker family!
